Paul Giblin is Chief Executive Officer of Davy Asset Management. He is responsible for implementing Davy Asset Management’s business strategy and objectives. Prior to joining the Davy group, Paul worked for Merrill Lynch as a director in the Global Equity trading business, focusing on equity derivatives. He joined Davy Private Clients as Head of Alternative Investments in 2003. In 2010, he was appointed Head of Global Investment Selection before being appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Davy Asset Management in 2014. Paul is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute. He is a graduate of University College Dublin where he received a Bachelor of Commerce and a Masters degree in Financial Services.
Mark Seavers was appointed Chief Investment Officer of Davy Asset Management in August 2016. Mark began his investment career in 1988 and has investment experience across a range of asset classes. He is the chairperson of the Davy Asset Management Asset Allocation Committee and is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the investment teams and strategies. Mark is also the Lead Fund Manager for Davy Asset Management's suite of Global Equity Income products. Mark joined Davy Asset Management in 2014, when Davy Asset Management acquired Prescient Investment Managers (formerly AIB Investment Managers, AIBIM). Mark holds a Master of Arts in Economics and a Master of Finance from University College Dublin.
Chantal Brennan is the Research Director of Davy Asset Management and Fund Manager of the Global Smaller Companies strategy. Chantal previously held the role of Chief Investment Officer where she established the firm’s investment philosophy and process. As Research Director she continues to be instrumental in its development. Prior to joining Davy Asset Management in 2014, she was the Managing Director of PineBridge Investment’s Global Small and Mid-Cap Equities business. She was also a member of various investment committees. In 2010, AIG sold its third-party asset management business which became PineBridge Investments. At AIG Global Investment Group, Chantal won many investment awards. Chantal began her investment career in 1994 with Standard Life. Chantal holds a Master of Science in Investment and Treasury from Dublin City University, a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from University College Dublin. She is a member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals and the CFA Institute.
Des Flood is a Fund Manager with responsibility for all ESG oriented strategies. Des began his investment career in 1987. He joined Davy from Bloxham Asset Management in 2012, as part of the Bloxham acquisition. Des previously worked as a Senior Fund Manager at Bank of Ireland Asset Management with responsibility for European and Global portfolios. Prior to that, Des worked for Hibernian Investment Managers as Head of Equities, with National Mutual of Australia and at Paribas Capital Markets. Des holds a Master degree in Economics and is a member of the CFA Institute.
Jonty Starbuck is a Fund Manager on the Global Equity Investment team. Jonty is responsible for the Global Brands strategy. He began his investment career in 2000. Prior to joining Davy Asset Management in 2015, Jonty worked for 10 years covering European consumer companies at T Rowe Price in London. Previously, Jonty worked for Morgan Stanley as a telecom equipment analyst. Jonty holds a Bachelor of Science, a PhD in Structural and Theoretical Chemistry from Bristol University and is a CFA Charterholder.
Jeremy Humphries is a Fund Manager for growth orientated strategies. He is responsible for quantitative analysis and portfolio management on the global equity team. Prior to joining Davy Asset Management in 2015, he worked on the Quantitative Equity Products (QEP) team at Schroders in London. Jeremy began his investment career in 2007 at Pioneer Investments where he worked as a Quantitative Equity Analyst within the Global Quantitative Research and Management team. Jeremy holds a Master in Science in Quantitative Finance from University College Dublin and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from Trinity College, Dublin.
Brian is a Fund Manager, with responsibility for the Davy ESG Equity Fund and Davy Low Carbon Equity Fund. Prior to joining in 2015, Brian was a member of the global equity team at Allianz Global Investors in London, where he was focused on sustainable global equity portfolios as part of a team responsible for over €30bn in sustainable investments. Previously, he was on the graduate programme at Capital International, also in London. Brian represents the investment community in the “40 for 30”; a group of sustainability leaders from businesses across Ireland. He is also on the sustainable investment steering group for Sustainability Skillnet, a government-sponsored sustainability training programme. Brian holds a BA in Psychology from University College Dublin and an MSc from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. He holds the UK Investment Management Certificate and is a CFA candidate.
Oliver Sinnott heads up the Fixed Income team and has been the lead fund manager of the Davy Global Bond Fund since January 2012. He began his investment career in 2006 and has experience as a Fixed Income Fund Manager and as a Global Investment Strategist specialising in Fixed Income. Oliver currently manages strategies across global and regional benchmarks in both sovereign and corporate bonds. He is also a member of the Davy Asset Management Asset Allocation Committee. Prior to this, Oliver spent eight years on the Davy Private Clients strategy team, advising clients on Fixed Income securities and managing bespoke Fixed Income strategies. Oliver holds a Degree in Computer Applications from Dublin City University, a Higher Diploma in Economics and a Master of Arts in Economics and Finance from NUI Maynooth. He is also a member of the Institute of Bankers and holds the International Fixed Income and Derivatives (IFID) certification from Reading University.
Evan Duncan is Assistant Fund Manager on the fixed income team. Before joining the team, Evan worked on the global equity investment team within Davy Asset Management as a research analyst. Evan began his investment career in 2017 in Davy Private Clients, working on the portfolio construction and portfolio management teams. He was responsible for the ongoing management of client portfolios to ensure they were aligned with the investment committee’s views. He was also responsible for making investment decisions daily around the implementation of the client’s agreed strategy while considering their risk tolerance, time horizon, individual liquidity and other constraints. Evan holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics & Finance from University College Dublin. He is also a Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) with the Institute of Bankers in Ireland. He is a CFA Level II candidate.
Jonathan is an Assistant Fund Manager on the Global Equity investment team. He started his Investment career in 2016. Jonathan works on the Global Equity Income and Defensive Equity Income Strategies. Jonathan began his career in Davy Private Clients where he worked on the Financial Planning and Portfolio Construction teams. In these roles he was responsible for ongoing management of client portfolios to ensure they were aligned with the Investment Committee’s views. Jonathan holds a degree in Accounting and an MSc in Asset Management from University College Cork. He is a CFA level III candidate.
Emma is a Quantitative Analyst in the Global Equities investment team. Emma is responsible for the research and development of models used in the management of our portfolios and strategies. Prior to joining Davy Asset Management in 2018, Emma worked as a Risk Analyst in Bank of Ireland, where she was responsible for developing Stress Testing models within Enterprise Risk Management. Previously, she worked for the Aon Centre for Innovation and Analytics as a Data Scientist, where she focused on Research & Development. Emma has a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from University College Dublin, as well as a Master of Science in Quantitative Finance from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
James joined Davy Asset Management from AIB Group Treasury, where he began his career in 1998 focusing on all aspects of derivatives trading, structured products and risk management. As part of AIB’s proprietary trading team, his particular focus was on the development and implementation of quantitative trading models for Equity, FX and interest rates. James has a BSc in Mathematical Science from University College Dublin (UCD), where he received a scholarship for academic excellence. James holds an MSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Finance, also from UCD.
Mark Bollard is an Investment Manager on the Global Partners team. Mark began his career at State Street before joining Davy Asset Management in 2016. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Sociology from University College Dublin and a Masters in Management from Smurfit Business School. Mark is a Qualified Financial Advisor with the Institute of Bankers in Ireland.
David McDonagh is an Investment Manager on the Global Partners team. David began his investment career in 2011. Before joining Davy Asset Management, David worked for State Street, MUFG and Fidelity, spanning a wide suite of middle & back office functions including valuations, trade processing, corporate actions, and performance & attribution reporting across both exchange-traded as well as OTC securities. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance and a Masters of Science in Finance, both from DIT. David is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute.
Paraic Ryan is Head of Risk at Davy Asset Management. He started his investment career in 1996. Paraic is responsible for the oversight and monitoring the risk parameters of all investment strategies. Paraic joined Davy Asset Management in 2014, as part of the acquisition of Prescient Investment Managers (previously Allied Irish Bank Investment Managers, AIBIM) where he was responsible for the development and implementation of bespoke investment and risk management systems. Paraic holds a Master of Information Technology and a Master of Science in Mathematics from University College Galway.
Cathal McArdle is the Centralised Dealer at Davy Asset Management. He started his investment career in 2004. Cathal is responsible for the execution of equities, foreign exchange and cash management. Cathal joined Davy Asset Management in 2014 as part of the acquisition of Prescient Investment Managers (previously Allied Irish Bank Investment Managers) where he worked on the centralised dealing desk. Cathal holds a Certificate in Investment Management from the Institute of Bankers, a Diploma in Stockbroking from Dublin Business School and graduated from Dublin City University with a Bachelor of Arts in European Business and French.
